If I dont get this expensive data plan, what feature will i not be able to use on the iPhone? Will it be worth it

uhh nothing cause all the apps are web based, so u would have to get the data plan

well my dad said i could get anyphone i wanted as long as its compatible with our family plan. our family plan is verizon wireless and is there anyway i could get an iphone to work with the verizon family plan?

Can you join a family plan with AT&T if you have an iPhone, and the others in the plan don’t? The iPhone I wanna get is the new 3G one, I don’t know if that will make a difference or not.

Yes. Think of family plans as separate individual plans except they share the same minutes.

Therefore, the required data plan for the iPhone 3G will only affect the specific line.

Okay, seriously, why do you need to ask this question? (sorry, I’ve been answering questions all day and am kind of tired) Family plans don’t require all the phones to be the same. Also, the iPhone is no different from any other phone in terms of how it works with AT&T.
