About Me:
I am looking for high school and college students that need help in Math, Physics, and Engineering courses. I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis and Im currently enrolled in the Teaching Credential Program at Sac State to pursue teaching High School Math and Physics. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in many math and science courses to students of all ages.
Cost & Locations:
My current going rate is $20/hr. Most students like to meet up at the Panera Bread at 901 Howe Ave. This coffee shop offers free Wi-Fi and is centrally located about 3 minutes from Sac State, 15 minutes from ARC, 15 minutes from SCC, and 20 minutes from CRC. Panera Bread is really close to my home, so I meet students there free of charge. I also do travel tutoring at your home or a location of your choice (i.e. local library or nearby coffee shop) for a small additional amount. Please email me the address of your preferred location for a price quote on traveling cost. **1.5 hour minimum per session for travel tutoring**
Courses:
Math High School Algebra 1 & 2, College Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 – 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, SAT / ACT / GRE / CBEST Math
Physics – High School Physics, College Physics 1-3 (Calc & Non-Calc Based)
Lower Division Engineering Statics, Circuits, Properties of Materials, Manufacturing Processes
Upper Division Engineering Circuits, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics, Thermo-Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical Design 1 & 2, Heat Transfer, Simulation and Design of Mechatronic Systems, Automatic Control Systems, Vehicle Stability, Engineering Applications of Dynamics
Current Openings:
I have many openings Monday through Sunday. Please visit my website for an updated list of available openings. (Caution: time slots fill up very fast after the first test of the semester.) I also typically recommend at least 2 tutoring sessions per week to maximize the amount of exposure you or your child may need for that subject. I also do on-call tutoring for students who dont want to commit to a weekly appointment. Those students can temporarily fill any openings I may have for the week.
